A collection of tunes composed over the course of 2006. I used elements of one tune to start the next. You can download the entire cd in its proper order, or individual tracks below. The music is all free, though I’d love some feedback

This one has the chaos I love but it somehow all hangs together. The music is made with software based synths including Reaktor and Groove Agent. I also play guitar processed in many ways including Roger Linn’s Adrenalinn.

And I thought this would be a calming tune. What happened? Beats me, but I’m loving it. I have a new guitar part I’m adding to it and certainly a new mix. This mix was done at the top of 2006.

3 or 4 guitar parts and this elusive cut has finally found itself. I started writing this piece in January of 2006, and I was about to give it up, Turned out all the elements were there, it just needed a proper mix. I'll find its name sometime for now the date it took shape will have to do.
California Stars
With words by Woody Guthrie and music by Jeff Tweedy and Jay Bennett of Wilco, it is hard to go wrong. This is however the first time I've put my voice on something I've made public, so listener beware. On the other hand I had a great time doing this cover tune, a challenge and a pleasure all at the same time..

I know these names aren’t inspired, but the tunes are. This is the first new tune i’ve done in 6 months. Not sure where the time went, playing a lot of contra dance music (though you won’t hear that influence on this)
Anyway I’m in love with another tune that has mysteriously manifest itself on my desktop and if you ask me how, I’d be a bit miffed.
One Nation Out of Focus

This is my final piece of music for this collection of tunes and for the year 2006. I will now put all these tunes together to make a cohesive “CD” and post it here. This tune has some of my best rhythms and for the first time in my music a real bass line. Usually the bass in my tunes is made up of the bottom end of the synth sounds I create. I decided to write a bass line instead.

On Christmas day eve I put the finishing touches on what I thought was my final tune of the year, the last cut to my new cd. It was 1 in the morning, i needed something nice and calm to hear. So I started with a brush pattern on a snare, picked up the guitar and this fell into my fingers. I started to put down a bass part only enough to know what I needed. I then fell asleep exhausted. A few weeks later it is done.
